On 2 October 2026, Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Kambon, Full Professor of African Linguistics at the University of Ghana and founder of Abibitumi, was enstooled as Apagyahene and Sunsum Ɔsahene of Akuapem Mampɔn.
In his account, Kambon described visits to the Ɔkyeamehene’s and Gyasehene’s compounds, the application of hyire (kaolin powder), and a procession along the main thoroughfare before he was taken to the Ahemfi to swear in to the Mamponghene.
A reception celebrated three milestones: his enstoolment, promotion to Full Professor, and his daughter Ama’s admission to the University of Ghana.
